Information we collect

Depending on how you use the app, we may collect:

Account details you provide, such as email address.
Your birth details and the birth details of people you add.
Reading requests, generated text, and generated audio outputs.
Purchase and entitlement information from app store billing systems.
Basic technical logs needed to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the service.

How we use information

To create and deliver your Vedic relationship readings.
To store and retrieve the people and reading context associated with your use of the app.
To process purchases and confirm access to paid content.
To respond to support, privacy, and technical requests.
To improve stability, reliability, and fraud prevention.

How information is handled

Some data may be stored locally on your device, and some may be processed by our backend infrastructure and service providers to generate readings, narration, or purchase access. We do not sell your personal data.

We limit access to personal information to the people and systems needed to operate the app and support users.

Your choices and rights

You can delete local account data inside the app from Settings, or contact us to request help with access, correction, or deletion.

If data is stored only on your device, deleting the app may remove that local data from the device. If you want help with server-side data or privacy questions, email us and include the email address used with the app.

Request data deletion by email

Children

The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without appropriate permission.

Data retention

Account and reading data is retained while your account is active. If you request account deletion, we remove your account record, associated birth details, and generated readings from our active backend systems within 30 days of the request.

Basic operational logs (error and access logs) are retained for up to 90 days for security and troubleshooting, then automatically rotated.

Purchase receipts and billing records may be retained longer where required by tax, accounting, or audit obligations.

Third-party service providers

We use a small number of vetted service providers to operate the app. They process data only on our behalf, under written agreements:

Supabase — account storage, authentication, and reading database.
Fly.io — backend hosting for the reading engine.
Anthropic, OpenAI, Google — AI providers used to generate reading text.
Minimax, Fish Audio, RunPod — text-to-speech providers for narration.
Apple App Store and Google Play — payment and subscription processing.
RevenueCat — subscription entitlement reconciliation.
Resend — transactional email delivery.
Netlify — website and static asset hosting.

We do not sell your personal data and do not share it with third parties for their own advertising or marketing.

GDPR (EU / EEA / UK)

If you are in the EU, EEA, or UK, the General Data Protection Regulation gives you the following rights regarding your personal data:

Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Rectification — correct inaccurate personal data.
Erasure — request deletion of your personal data.
Restriction — limit how we process your personal data.
Portability — receive your personal data in a machine-readable format.
Objection — object to specific processing activities.
Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Our legal basis for processing is contract performance (to deliver the reading service you requested), legitimate interests (to secure and improve the service), and consent where required. To exercise any of these rights, email michael@forbidden-yoga.com.

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act and California Privacy Rights Act give you the following rights:

Right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it.
Right to request deletion of your personal information.
Right to correct inaccurate personal information.
Right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information.
Right to non-discrimination for exercising these rights.

Changes to this policy

If we materially change this policy, we will update the effective date at the top of the page and, where appropriate, notify users inside the app or by email.
